I don’t think they understand or comprehend possession


Control or “making a football move”

The rule came into play for airborne receivers, and determining when full possession occurs. It was when hitting the ground they maintained full control throughout

He was NOT airborne, he had feet and knees on ground after possession and lunged forward breaking the plane, at which point it should be a TD and irrelevant whether possession was maintained after the lunge/leap

He had full control, knee and feet down and THEN reached ball out

He couldn’t reach the ball putnif he didn’t have control
