I love kicking off a lively debate.

I love dogs and animals, especially my cat. But Pit Bulls have been bred for a pretty singular purpose in mind over time. That doesn't mean they can't be great pets, but when instinct kicks in they'll go back to what has been attempted to be bred into them for generations. While they aren't wolves, no one should be surprised if a pet wolf attacked its owner. My intuitive feeling is Pit Bulls are more on the wild side of domesticated animals.
