Honestly they're all pretty much the same these days.

Just get HD (1080p), remotely accessible and has at least a 1TB HD in it. I've gone through four or five of these in a few different properties over the last decade. All had plus and minuses, but largely were the same. You can get 8CH DVRs with 4 1080 cameras for under $100 these days on Amazon. Just need to add your favorite HD.
