Because it was a walk in TD if executed correctly?

The end crashed and the DTs got a good push. The H back had a solid kick out block on the DB to the left side leaving a huge hole to walk thru. JJ just waited a second too long to pull the ball and SP wanted the TD he was hosed out of the play before. That resulted in the fumble. The play was good but the execution was bad, so second guessing it or saying live to fight another day as if it were some high risk, not used much call (e.g. an under center snap) all seems rediculous. The same logic applied to the last drive of the first half says don’t throw the ball to a wide open Murphy because it was overthrown. Just fundamentally faulty logic in 21st century college and football.
