Haha. This is beautifully succinct...and spot on.


Coincidentally, I met a flesh and blood quasi-flat-Earther recently. He wasn't adamant that the Earth was flat, but moreso adamant that no one can truly prove it isn't. He seemed to take that stance out of distrust and misguided humility, as in, "Who am I to think I can understand everything?" and said that he doesn't simply accept the Earth is round because he hasn't observed evidence of such with his own eyes (such as viewing Earth from space).

He is a nice young guy (probably mid-20s) and seems to simply be misguided in trying to think critically. Apparently he has basically decided to question everything but will only accept visual proof via his own eyes.

It was an interesting conversation, to say the least.
