Lived in SD (PB) for a couple years, and had a Carl's Jr. around the corner

That wasn't conducive to my waistline...lol They had several burgers that I wish I could get on the east coast. Move back east, and BAM!, Hardee's and Carl's Jr merge to give us the CJ burgers, and give CJ the Hardee's breakfast menu. Best of all worlds.

In & Out was a bit of a drive, so I didn't hit it that often. I loved their burgers too. I even hit the Jack in the Box in Mission Beach occasionally, and they made an OK burger. Wasn't nearly as good as the other two, but was OK. Yeah, it was too easy to hit a burger joint after getting out of work so late...
