Evans being a bigger guy, could absorb more hits and keep playing...


...at a high level. He was also faster than JJ. Still remember seeing his HS film footage at the VT recruiting night.

What JJ has, over probably every other QB we've ever had, is a large foundation of knowledge of the position. We'll see next year, but I put a lot of his passing woes down to being beat up down the stretch...especially the Miami game and later. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

Now if his passing doesn't improve, he's going to have a really hard time keeping the starting job. Finally building depth at QB...
