I bought one of these, without the amplifier

Works just OK, so I'm thinking about buying the amplifier. It's also directional. You'll pick up channels "off axis," but the signal strength isn't great. Spin it 90 degrees and they come in much better, but other strong channels get weaker. Pick your poison.

Thinking about installing an outdoor antenna in my attic...
