poor shooting night OR lights-out shooting by the opponent. I think the narrative that UVa is more vulnerable because of their style is flawed. A great defensive team giving up a lot of points is a low-probability event. Similarly, the likelihood of an efficient offensive team being inefficient is low. Because it happened to UVa against Syracuse in the Elite 8 is more of an anomaly than it is an exposure of some schematic weakness (but probably not enough data yet to prove/disprove either position).
