Easy, just have colleges sign a contract with the kids
They should get a modest salary, and agree to stay at the college until they complete their degree. On average, all players / families will benefit.
It's a contract, like signing up for the Navy or Army.
You sign on for the school and the degree.
If you want to play some where else, you are penalized a year of playing time before leaving the school.
Players and families win because their kids get paid, get degrees, and are ready to represent themselves when they enter the NFL.
Teams and coaches win, because they can build players and teams and not immediately lose the fruits of their labor.
College football wins, becuase it levels the playing field more for teams that actually build players, rather than recruit them.
What am I missing here?
