have a great year and are able to declare for the draft(and have stock enough to go in later rounds), actually stay for another year, doing even better and then go first or second round. Once players see success in that model, they will stay, or put much more serious thought into it.

Since it is really still up to the players individually, all the coaches can do is put the players in the best position possible to succeed on and off the field.
