The issue is that,every year,the CDC determines


which strains of the flu virus will be put into the flu vaccine. Some years they miss on the strains and the vaccine is not as effective...which appears to be the case this year. Even if it isn`t entirely effective,getting the flu shot will normally reduce the severity of the flu if you do get it. It takes about two weeks after you get the shot for you to be protected.
