I was a Boy Scout usher at Kennedy's inauguration. It was 22 degrees!

There was a bad snowstorm the night before which totally paralyzed traffic and left thousands of abandon vehicles.

They had to bring in the Army Corps of Engineers to clear the streets with assistance from 1,000 D.C. employees and 1,700 Boy Scouts.

The coldest inauguration was Reagan's with a temperature of 7 and wind chill of -10 to -20.
