I don't have to explain on The Lounge that rushing to conclusions and playing with stereotypes is what we do here. I live in Colo., so I'm a doobie-smoking liberal, you know.

That said, places have characteristics. Think of living in Berkeley vs. living in W.Va vs. living in NYC vs. living in Dallas. All of those places bring images to mind. And for people who don't live in WVa, insular, incestuous hillbillies is part of the WVa stereotype.
