First ACC is a very tough women's basketball program, and VT has absolutely no credibility as a high level program. VT played against Duke no 15, in a league game. There is difference depth of solid players for Duke that VT simply does not have.

And the past reputation of women's basketball that its a sport of quick transformations of program is a thing of the past. So many teams what competitive top notch programs. Just look in the SEC, killer..... THe key for VT is not the Duke games right now, the key is getting out of the basement to get first step 10-11 seed. Coach has to build relationships with top notch basketball programs in the high school and AAU level, and convince players and coaches that VT is a great program for development. Changing Perception is something you don't fix by a light switch.

VT has some solid players, just need more and more..
