I recently had an education on changing a tire. I thought I knew the basics

But I had to pull the manual out to figure out the cars crazy jack system. The first thing it said was put the emergency brake on & then where to place jack. Everything went smoothly from there until I got all the lug nuts off. When I tried to pull the tire off, it wouldn’t budge. I even had a guy in the 7-11 I had pulled into, try & help. We were kicking & pulling but that tire wasn’t loosening up. Since it was late & starting to rain, I decided to call my first Uber cab & come back in the morning. I had been wanting to try Uber out anyways. When the Uber guy came I was telling him what had happened as I was lowering the tire back down to a safe height and he asked if I had released the emergency brake. I had not and problem solved. Felt like an idiot. I tipped the Uber guy $10 bucks on top of the minimum they charge you for canceling after the guy gets there & finished changing my tire. I should’ve known to release the brake but considering the manual told me to put the brake on, it would’ve been nice to remind me to release the brake once you have the lug nuts off. Oh well, live and learn but I was at least smarter than the kid in the TV commercial. I knew what the lug wrench looked like. Lol
