Does need some touching up. But in my woodworking hobby

I've recently gotten into using more hand tools. For hand tools to work properly, they need to be SHARP.

Which means I have a full array of files, sandpaper and surface plate, and waterstones for sharpening things and more-or-less know how to use them.

The important thing was quality carbon steel, proper tempering, and a full tang that isn't welded on after-the-fact. If any of those are wrong, you can't fix it. But a mediocre edge can be.

Higher-end manufactured swords are more like $500-1000. Hand-made ones tend to get up near $3000. This one was about $250. For that price, I can touch up the edge (plus, it's kinda fun for me).
