Thats a lot of words there, but I like your point about exciting basketball

I was dismayed to see CCs point that Wednesday night, nobody in a Blacksburg bar was watching the game. That's brutal. We have a fun team, we get up and down the floor, we take brass balls 3-pointers, we have only one player who can't score.

Compare that to excitement I see about UVA's team here in Cville. For everyone who bashes their football fans, they are really good basketball fans. And they play as boring of a style as possible. I've said it before here, but I don't watch UVA games because it's not entertaining. To me, it's the Schindlers List of basketball, I can admit its excellent it just reaches emotional levels of frustration and despair in me that I do not wish to be reached. I was recently on a UGA forum looking at something on football and I saw one comment on their basketball team: "Fox is trying to play like UVA but we suck at it....thats the worst of both worlds, losing and boring." That's what everyone thinks about UVA, it's boring. There is this neo veiwpoint that you aren't sophisticated if you criticize UVA's style. No, sports are still about entertainment and their style is pretty close to torturous.

But not VT. We're like Oceans 11 to their Schindlers List. Everyone would have fun watching our game. But we can't gain interest in our own fans. Very disappointing. Hope to see a great Cassell on Saturday afternoon.
