I agree it is probably who he is, but it doesn't mean it can't be a

public image since he does make money from endorsement deals. Whether it is adidas, FRS Health Energy, Toyota, or whatever other products he is endorsing, the sponsors are buying into his Christian faith based public image and its marketability to consumers.

Now if ever became public knowledge that he had premarital sex or he did something to contradict his Christian moral values that he freely promotes, then his public image could turn into a house of cards like what happened with Jim Baker, Jimmy Swaggart, or any other modern religious leader. Before you say that Tim Tebow isn't a "religious leader," his book "Through My Eyes" was the best religious book in 2011. Plus, he grew up in a missionary family and continued to serve on missions for 3 summers in the Philippines while in college. Also, the NCAA adopted the "Tim Tebow Rule" because he used to put scripture numbers on his eye black. "In the 2009 BCS Championship Game, he wore John 3:16 on his eye black; the verse was the highest-ranked Google search term over the next 24 hours, generating over 90 million searches. Additionally, later, when Tebow switched to another verse, there were 3.43 million searches of "Tim Tebow" and "Proverbs 3:5-6" together." Also, he is a group leader for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. On April 8, 2012 (Easter Sunday), about 15,000 people gathered to listen to him speak (http://www.foxnews.com/sports/2012/04/08/tebow-draws-big-crowd-to-texas-easter-service.html).

Even though I may not always be a fan of his on the athletic field, I do tip my hat to him as a person. He is one of the pro athletes, who appears to always walk the walk, and can have a lot of spiritual influence on people.
