Thinking about this made me look him up in the VA Elections Database.


It appears that of the 1,954 votes cast in District 31 in 1958 in a special election he received 1,953 of them. Wonder what happened to that one voter

EDIT: And in the 1959 general election he got 2,805 of the 2,805 votes cast. No opponents though!
