Nazis were pretty fanatic, so he may have slipped out even earlier than Hunting Hitler suggests. the whole "commit suicide and burn the bodies" sounded very fishy...

Since there were no AWACS flying over Germany, a small aircraft could have easily slipped out. As for UBoats, they could have easily evaded a blockade and made their way to the Canary Islands and points south. The earlier he left, the greater his chance of getting away.

Don't think he got away, but wouldn't be totally surprised if they found his body in South America...lol
