I don't have a lot of confidence in any of that and don't see the value...

I monitor my credit reports and accounts at least a couple times a week...it's free and takes just a few clicks of the mouse. If anything pops up, I can nip it in the bud pretty quickly. To be honest, Lifelock having my info is just another possible source of a breach.
