Washinton Post had a columnist refer to "Downtown" Abbey....

instead of Downton Abbey the PBS tv show.

I swear, 40 years ago I figured journalists were all frustrated novelists and every once in a while would throw in a quote from some great novel eg "The team made it back finally after the bus broke down, I guess you can go home after all" (snort) so you kinda got the idea they had read a few books, were actually literate.

Now, I don't get the feeling a lot of these guys can even write, Cutting costs? using interns to do the work in this internet age?
