First return of the year with a Virginia medical adjustment...

Medical expenses are deductible to the extent they exceed 7.5% of adjusted gross income. But not in Virginia. The conformity bill the General Assembly passed, and the Governor signed, excepted the temporary drop in the medical floor, so in Virginia it's still a 10% floor.

I finally had a return where medical deductions were deductible and I had to add back the difference between 7.5% and 10% of their AGI on their Virginia return. Ain't tax season fun?
