Aside from whether or not they are beneficial for the Hokies, I have to say I am uninspired by some of these matches. Fausz v Hayes in Rd 2. Moore v Jack in Rd 2. McFadden v Finesilver Rd 1. Bolen v Ramos Rd 1. I realize you won’t avoid all rematches but good grief we just saw every one of those in the ACC finals.

Gus’ path is about what you would have expected. Moore’s is not ideal with Jack and McKenna in his quarter. DMF has about as good as you can ask for in that weight class. ZZ has a chance to make a run even if Preisch has been very good this year. I also like Jared’s bracket with Miklus in the quarters and Darmstadt potentially seeing a guy he lost to early in the year (Mattiace).
