Incorrect...legitimate telemarketing companies follow it


If you are getting calls it is for 1 of 3 reasons:
1. You have a relationship with that company and you clicked something when you provided your phone number that said you wanted them to contact you. Could be something that was defaulted to yes.
2. Politicians. They have no requirement to filter out number on the Do Not Call list.
3. Scammers. They are already breaking the law or trying to scam you so what do they care if they also break a law about calling you.

There are a whole lot of better sources of phone numbers to scam people from than the DNC registry.
