On one hand it feels like not rooting for VT athletics would be letting a big part of me die. On the other I barely have any free time at this point in life and spending that precious time emotionally invested in athletics to more often than not be let down is extremely hard. The logical solution might seem to be watch when I can and not get so invested, yet I always seem to get reeled back in with hope.

I wasn’t out on the mat tonight so I’m sure Jared is hurting far worse than I am but damn I really, really wanted that. Regardless I’m proud and thankful that Jared put it all out there for VT this weekend. I can tell you first hand that even as a fan that isn’t easy to do.
