beat us in football and Coach Beamer celebrated a 0-0 tie going into OT. I used to get physically nervous and amped during any VT sport on TV. After that game, 20 years of season tix and donations I stopped and re-prioritized. I even stopped posting and surfing TSL for over a year. Im approaching 49, my son started college, one graduates high school next year and I decided that family was more important. I still love cheering, supporting, and watching the games, but it is different. I am not near as emotionally invested like before and my family appreciates the time and less yelling at the tv. Well some less yelling. My advice is assess your situation and make a choice. I still wear lots of maroon and orange and VT gear on game days and regular days, still defend wins and losses, but the emotional investment is just different. Been a lot healthier for me and my family. Good luck in your decision and there is always hope! VT is still climbing the mountain, but at least we are now in the conversation a lot more than ever before.
