The SW franchise has a talent for picking out the least interesting threads


There are books that talk about that universe two generations after Han and Leia, and the wider changes that occurred and the role of the Jedi and key players. Meanwhile, the movies go back to the same characters from 1977, fleshing out bit pieces. And copying plots and recycling them. Let's see some originality. I know there is a huge built-i audience who will watch anything SWs, but it's really gutting the franchise.
