My daughter plays on her college team and we certainly didn't buy her new clubs every year. Like clothes, you buy a little big so they grow into them....she can choke up a bit until they are the right size. Also, there are junior sets of clubs that are a fraction of the price of adult/premium clubs until she's close to fully grown.

Unless she's really good, you'll never need anything other than junior (then later ladies) flex shafts.
