unless your thesis is simply that college kids today are stupid.

However, given the lack of any foundation (that even an opinion piece should have) for either of the two separate arguments, perhaps the strongest argument for college kids today are stupid is the evidence provided by the writer that at least one college kid today can't form a meaningful, germane, and focused argument.

Unless, of course, his entire purpose was to write click-bait echo chamber nonsense, in which case it was nearly perfect.
