Are you wanting to drive cross country? If so, it is a long haul and may not be comfortable/enjoyable for you if you are driving a big truck. And it will limit your ability to stop and sight see.

How are you getting your vehicle(s) cross country? If you do drive a big truck, there are services to hire a person to drive your car or you can transport it on a car carrier.

Have you looked into trains? I know the east coast has an auto train. Not sure if there is something similar that goes from coast to coast.

How quickly do you want to move? Driving is at least a solid 3-4 days in a car going a fast pace.

How much stuff you have to move will also be a factor. I think you can rent part of a moving truck and share it with someone else who is heading in the same direction. Never done this myself but have heard about it from others.

For a big move, you will probably want moving insurance. The last thing you want is to have all your stuff in a truck and it gets robbed, or gets bad luck in a storm and everything is ruined with water/mold.
