Number of British sites that now critique news coverage

off-guardian is one. Guardian UK used to be one of the more liberal or progressive news sites that tended to provide coverage both sides of the wars that the government-run BBC and the conservative Telegraph and Daily Mail would not. Cameron threatened to take newspapers over after their coverage of UK global surveillance in 2014. So now all the coverage on Russia, wars in Ukraine and Syria, terrorism, etc. all follow the same script. There are still one or two veteran writers for the Independent, Cockburn and Fisk, who haven't been moved out. Because all the establishment voices are just reiterated without critique by other mainstream news outlets, it's fairly easy to find flaws in the stories if one has been following them for awhile.
