Pittsburgh is fortunate to have WVU as a good alternative to pivot to.


I hope Pitt does that. It would be great for the region to restore the Backyard Brawl.

Penn State's attitude about not wanting a regional rival doesn't make much sense. But that's their attitude. Maryland and Rutgers might try to be that, but this isn't serious. It's in fact a joke. College football fans in Ohio and Michigan don't ever think about Penn State. Michigan voted against their joining 25 years ago, and hasn't gained any more interest since.
