I was selling some of my mom's stuff when she downsized from her big house. There were two oriental rugs that I had a lot of interest in. Some lady begged me for them over the phone and said she'd be there at noon. She called at noon and said she was running late and would be there at 12:30. I said she had better come because if someone else came first I'd sell them. I confirmed that she wanted two and said she had to take both. I confirmed she wanted both each time she called. Meanwhile, I'm selling the dining furniture, some other odds and ends and other carpets.

She arrives finally and says she changed her mind and only wants one. I tell her sorry. You said two and the price we agreed on is firm. By now, these are the last things in the house. She threatened to walk away if I don't sell her one. I tell her I think she planned that the whole time and that I wasn't falling for it. She could either take two at the agreed upon cash price, or I'd drag them both out into the back yard and light them on fire. lol. It was the principal of the thing. She relented and took two at the agreed upon cash price. Take that you b&*@!
