Military for sure.

Maybe not to everyone, but if you want to be a doctor I think having the military pay for it is a no brainer.

A friend of mine was a navy doctor. Ended up being one of Bush 43 doctors. Moved to the DC area with Bush and liked it so much he decided to retire from the USN here. He decided he didn't want to be a GP anymore so he had the Navy put him back to school for anesthesiology. That took a year or two. He owed the Navy two more years to pay them back so he did that, retired a Captain and now makes huge bucks as an anesthesiologist. His surgeries are almost all scheduled. It's a great life. So his son will go to college on his GI bill, and they have the usual retired military benefits in addition to his huge salary, AND he has no debt. No brainer.

Congrats to your grandson! I hope he reaches his dreams.
