I have had wagyu a few times ... great if made right
not worth the price IMO, but it can be amazing. The Japanese Wagyu that I have had was much better than the american version. I only have had a few times, so I might have gotten unlucky thought. The Japanese version is honestly buttery smooth ... melts literally in your mouth.
What we do is that sometimes we get a piece to share on a big occasion. You get a few pieces each, but get to have some fun. My kids love it ... so spoiled lol.
