My experience = universal truth.

1). I know plenty of white American men who enjoy soccer and a lot of them like Chris Coleman came to it somewhat recently. NBC and more recently Amazon didn’t buy the rights to the EPL because soccer appeals to a fringe minority.

2). Apparently, if something isn’t enjoyed by a significant number of white American men, it isn’t valid or worthwhile. Good to know.

Which reminds me, it’s about time for George Friggin Will’s obligaorty quadrennial column about how soccer will never, catch on in America.
