it turned out pretty well actually.

I got there late on Friday and the company had booked me at the Omni. I got dinner, in VT gear, and only got a few dirty looks. Our schedule had us starting pretty bright and early on Saturday, so I was up and out to meet the team and we put in a pretty full day. Due to flight schedules though, most of us couldn't leave until Sunday. Dinner all together that night at Fleurie. Pretty good food and service, so that turned out all right as well after the long day.

The fun though really started when just 3 of us went for some more drinks after dinner, Went to Orzo, since it's only like a 10 minute walk to the hotel. Drank a few, but not too many, but some good conversation was going, and the scene was actually fairly lively. My 2 co-workers left, and once I finished one more glass of Zin, I headed out as well about 15 minutes after them.

I get back to the hotel and end up in the same elevator as a good looking, but a bit drunk woman. As she starts to exit the elevator, she's not walking too well as she bumps me and ricochets against the open elevator door, so I put a hand around her waist and help her down the hallway to her room. I'm not sure why, but I start to get the impression that she's pretending to be a lot more drunk than she really was.

We get there and she fishes around for her key card, all the time telling me how nice I am, and my cologne smells great (I wasn't wearing any, but OK) and she's leaning into me more and more. Then she finds the key card and as she uses that with her right hand, her left grabs hold of my belt buckle and pulls me into the room.

So things proceeded from there as you might expect, but it DID get a little weirder. Some dude, in retrospect I assume boyfriend or husband, tries to use his card to come in at about 3. Fortunately, my hookup had deadbolted it. He's banging on the door to try and wake her up, but she's otherwise engaged at the moment....and really, if she did let him in, where would I hide?

She whispers to me "I'll just tell him in the morning that I was passed out and never heard him banging". Dude eventually came back with security, but they wouldn't open it for him either as getting past the dead bolt required some fairly extreme measures for 3:30 AM Eventually he gave up and I presume found another room or maybe slept in the car.

Just in case he was an early riser, I was out of there at about 5:30. Nice night though. Turned out to be a VERY memorable trip.
