Had to cut gluten last year for 3 months...


Didn't really notice any great difference at the time other than most gluten free food is disgusting but when I switched back to a gluten diet BAM! My joint pain went from near zero/best I've felt in a while to a 8 or 9 on the pain scale. I didn't see the correlation at the time because lots of other junk was going on but in retrospect it was very likely the switch back to gluten (an inflammatory) that did it and then my body slowly got used to it again.

I can definitely buy the sugar, dairy, gluten correlations though to pain though. Not giving them up entirely but moderation leaning toward elimination is probably not a bad idea for anyone over 45.
