3 mpg is a nice improvement with a vehicle that large, especially...


...city driving where you have stoplights, stop signs, and other traffic obstructions.

If you like the improved mileage, you can always "downsize" your next automobile purchase, and buy a Highlander. They're rated 21 city, 27 highway. Would guess you'll see 30+ mpg on the highway. I think my Tacoma is rated 17/19, and I get ~18.5 in town, and ~24 on the highway by sticking close to the speed limit.
