When I’m on the verge of retirement, I intend to use a financial planner.


It’s not just looking things up, which I could do myself, but getting educated about the issues and questions I’m not even thinking about. I think most people, if they’re being honest with themselves, probably don’t know what they don’t know when it comes to retirement. I can handle building the nest egg myself. What most people need assistance with is sheltering that nest egg from taxes and making it last for life once they start drawing down on it.
