The Outer Banks can be a veritable washing machine, especially during hurricane season. You can get on the tuna, and maybe catch the fall mahi run as well. It's not a long run to the gulfstream waters from the OB. Much closer than say Charleston, SC where it is about 65-70 miles from the mouth of the harbor.
