OK let me explain better...


maybe. It is not that ranking doesn't matter. It does....a lot for guys that are #5 and beyond talent...because a bad match up could mean the difference between AA or not.

My point was that if you are one of the Top 4 wrestlers in the weight class regardless of ranking, you should beat the wrestlers #5 and below just as if you were ranked #1-#4.....and no matter what ranking between #1 and #4 you will need to beat two high quality opponents.

If you are Top 4 your goal should not be to AA, but to win the whole thing. Whether you come in at #1 or #16 you will have to beat two opponents in the Top 4 at some point regardless.
