Had that happen too -- over CHRISTMAS vacation


Was off from Christmas Eve til January 2. Actually called in sick on January 2 and they had to call me at home and tell me I was being let go. This after telling me back in November that I had til March. (Yeah, I knew about the layoff, but the timing was a shock.)

Right before the break they tried to force me to use all my leave before being let go and I (correctly) pointed out that they legally couldn't do that. So they decided over the break to just let me go immediately as soon as I got back. Savages.
