How do you say goodbye to a home you've lived in for 35 years??

Second "fixer-upper" purchased after dental school. 60s brick Ranch style home, dark panelling, orange shag carpeting and kitchen counters, putrid green bathrooms. Backyard a thicket of pine trees, vines, and dozens of flintrock outcroppings. Through the years I removed panelling and put up sheetrock and redid flooring to hardwood and some carpeting. Redid kitchen and combined bedrooms upstairs into master suite with fireplace and master bath and walk in closets. Other bedroom converted into office with Murphy bed. My architect bro designed a beautiful sunroom and suite for my son with study area, bathroom, and private bedroom, as well as decks behind house. Covered front entryway and screened porches. Landscaped with beautiful zoysia lawn cut with a reel mower like a golf course. Cut the scrub pines, rooted up stumps and broke up flintlock by piling wood from pines, burning, and dousing with cold water to crack the rocks so they could be broken up below grade. Back yard fenced and beautiful lawn and gardens (I could almost compete with Newt's Maters!) that are overlooked by sunroom and rear decks. I grew blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, kiwis, fruit trees and year round veggies. Solar panels and a Carolina Waterstove for efficient heating. Heated for years with just that and a fireplace insert. My son's first word was "Hot" as his caretaker was skeered he would get into wood stove so everytime he looked at it she would say "HOT!".
Good memories of front yard baseball games....driveway basketball with my son.
Moving on to next phase of my life and hope to retire within a year. Young family with 5 kids purchased house and we closed today!
Sipping some JW Black in honor of my years at 308 Taft! Its been a good ride!!
