I use project fi

Project Fi uses Sprint and T-Mobile networks. In my case, there is zero trade-off in terms of service quality. For two lines between where we use on average less than a good of data per month (take advantage of WiFi), my bill is less than $50/month. The only disadvantage for Fi it's that only a few Android phones are supported.

Any MVNO that uses another providers network will give you the same coverage and service quality as if you went through the provider directly. Customer service would/could be the only difference.
