Given how the street used to enter the community and the 3 side streets

are arranged, I don't think any resident drives to pick up their mail from the mail box. All the townhouses have perpendicular parking spaces in front of them. Each townhouse has 2 reserved spots. If they need more parking spaces then people can parallel park on one side of the entrance road or perpendicular park in a circular area when 1 of the side streets branches off from the entrance road. The entrance road eventually turns into a giant cul-da-sac with 30 townhouses around it. The mailboxes are placed in between 2 sets of townhouses (usually 4 units per set).

The only times I have seen the mailboxes blocked is when a garbage truck is picking up trash, the fire truck/ambulance shows up, UPS/FedEx is making a delivery (they usually park on the entrance street), large appliance/furniture delivery, or food delivery. Basically all 4 roads are only wide enough for 2 vehicles to pass each other. If a large vehicle has to enter the community, then there is no chance for a car to go around it. If a large vehicle plans to enter a side street, then it either has to back in or back out.
