VT beating Memphis State on Feb.9,1977. We were down by 25 points...


...with 17:43 left in the second half (24–49). With 1:54 to go, we were still down by 11 points. The final score was a Tech victory, 70–69. When we started our comeback, everybody in the Coliseum just knew we were going to win. Memphis State was totally flummoxed. The crowd was up on its feet and cheering the whole time. I was 26 years old and still able to jump up & down. Good times.
