Time for my electorial soapbox. Voting isn't enough


If anything, it is more important to vote in the primaries than in the general elections.

There are lots of viable, reasonable, somewhat moderate candidates out there who would be more than willing and capable of working with those with different views to come up with viable solutions to govern this country.

And almost all of them lose in the primaries because maybe 5-10% of the electorate shows up, and probably 80% of them are on the extreme left or right.

The reason we end up with so many unpalatable candidates is because only the unpalatable voters are the ones who show up en masse for the primaries.
